How does COPAXONE® work in the body?

COPAXONE® is thought to act by modifying immune processes that are believed to be responsible for the pathogenesis of MS.1 This hypothesis is supported by studies utilizing experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a condition induced in animals through immunization against CNS-derived material containing myelin.1 Learn more about how COPAXONE® is thought to work.

How often is COPAXONE® administered?

COPAXONE® 40 mg is used 3 times a week, with injections at least 48 hours apart around the same time on the same 3 days each week.1
